About Us

Quartz Events is a specialist event organizer, producing industry leading Conferences and Summits catering to senior level executives in a diverse and rapidly expanding range of industries.

Over the years we have refined our unique business model to ensure we present exceptional service and value for both Delegate Attendees and Sponsors alike. Each event program is created by a high profile steering committee of senior level executives in each industry sector. This Peer-Led approach allows us to create content that is extremely relevant and compelling to our target audience and is essential in attracting the top quality audience we host at each event.

We manage schedules of one-on-one meetings between Delegate Attendees and leading Solution Providers Sponsoring or Exhibiting at the events. This aspect is key for Delegate Attendees to discover innovative new solutions to address their toughest challenges and presents the Sponsors and Exhibitors with the most targeted and cost effective route to meeting excellent quality, qualified potential new customers.

Each of our events is hosted in a conveniently located, high-end hotel, to cater to the needs of our high profile audience and facilitate meetings in a very pleasant upscale environment.

Following the launch of our first show, SCOPE in 2007, we now have Conference and Summits in: Supply Chain & Logistics, Information Technology including specific focus on Cloud, Business Intelligence and mid-market, Energy with a new Oil & Gas series and Manufacturing with the launch of IMPACT in April 2013. Quartz Events is the US division of a Media Company that produces an extensive global network of business to business Conferences, Exhibitions, Magazines and on-line Media We have decades of industry experience behind us and over the years the directors have launched and managed literally hundreds of successful trade shows.

The Executive Team Includes:

Keith Harris

Keith Harris has been organizing trade shows in the Materials Handling sector since 1967 and has launched dozens of successful events over the last 40 years. He was the founding CEO of DMG World Media, a company which now stages 300+ exhibitions annually including around 100 in the US and Canada. Whilst Keith is now semi-retired he still has time to be Chairman of 4 trade show organizing companies including Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions & Quartz Events, VOS Media and International Antique Fairs.

Paul Michael

Paul has worked in the exhibition and trade publishing sector for more than 30 years, he currently is the Managing Director of Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Ltd based in the UK. He has been involved with the Materials Handling and Logistics industry for the past 15 years and launched the International Materials Handling Exhibition in the UK, now one of the top three exhibitions in Europe. He and Keith work closely with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the British Industrial Truck Association, the latter has affiliations with the Fork Truck Assoc of America. Paul is a family man who in his spare time likes to play golf and socialize. He is a member of a Livery Company in the City of London and was its Master in 2004.

Toby Harris

Toby Harris qualified from one of the UK's premier universities, UMIST with a MSC in Management Science in 1995. The following year he launched Harrion Ltd, a media company specializing in trade publications. With a unique and creative approach to publishing, the business enjoyed tremendous success and quickly established industry leading trade publications in the UK market. Building on this success Toby opened offices in the USA in 1998 and launched into the rest of Europe in 2000. In 2002 Toby based himself out of the US headquarters in California and focused on developing and growing the US side of the business, acquiring great knowledge of the US market in the process. In 2006 the company was sold to dmg world media, one of the world's largest media companies. After taking a year out to travel the world with his family, Toby moved back to California and launched the US division of Quartz Events. He is responsible for managing the expansion and development of the full series of Conferences and Summit Quartz Events produce.

Josh Ridener

Josh joined Quartz Events in June of 2012 and is responsible for the expansion and development of Quartz Events MFG, LLC. Josh entered the corporate world immediatley following high school and found a tremendous amount of success in selling. He started in the Human Resources sector working for and then an executive search firm, Corporate Resources. Prior to the economic downturn in 2009, Josh moved over to online advertising, where he spent 4 years at emedia USA. He helped build emedia's Supply Chain and Manufacturing businesses from the ground up and was consistently a leader in new business and product innovation.

The knowledge that Josh gained about the Supply Chain and Manufacturing industries at emedia, made for a great transition in to the events business. With great attention to detail, a keen sense of urgency and his top of the line customer service, Josh is making the IMPACT Manufacturing Summit a leading event for senior-level executives in the Manufacturing space.
